What are the Raphael Rooms at the Vatican Museums Hiding? - ITALIAN MUSEUMS NEWS and BOOKING GUIDE

The Rooms of Raffaello are altogether four, placed in sequence within the Vatican Museums; these are so called because they were frescoed by the great painter of Urbino and the students of his workshop. According to Vasari these environments already had important fifteenth century decorations, with some walls painted by Piero della Francesca, Benedetto Bonfigli, Andrea del Castagno, Luca Signorelli and Bartolomeo della Gatta.
